About

With over ten years’ experience at the intersection of dance and the visual arts, I combine academic depth with conceptual and practical expertise.

A central focus of my work is the presence of dance in exhibitions and museums – in terms of research, conceptualisation and curation. At the same time, as a qualified art historian with a PhD, I am firmly rooted in both the contemporary art world and the dance scene. I develop interdisciplinary exhibition and mediation formats and write both academic and journalistic texts – including catalogue essays, exhibition texts and press releases.

My professional journey has taken me from working as a research assistant at the Institute of Art History at the University of Freiburg and completing my PhD on dance in exhibitions and museums (overall grade: summa cum laude), through project management and production management in the independent dance scene, to the realisation of my own curatorial, art education and journalistic projects.

I currently work as an art mediator for the Hamburger Kunsthalle and as a writer for specialist journals such as Kunstforum International and Tanz.Dance, as well as for international academic publications. I develop interdisciplinary mediation formats and curatorial concepts, particularly at the intersection of dance and art. My aim is to place dance in new contexts and to inspire a wide audience with its connection to the visual arts.
